Stages

We have worked on Kendal’s Torchlight Carnival for the past 8 years.

Over the years we have seen the event evolve from a procession around the town, to including a street party, and now they take over Abbot Hall with entertainment for everyone!

Last year, we supplied and crewed 5 stages. The Dome Stage was used for the Main Stage where we provided sound and lighting for all of the bands that performed. Also at Abbot Hall was a ‘Carnival Ring’ where a lot of the action took place, again providing lighting, sound and crew for this stage.

In the town Street Party, The Trailer Stage played host to bands performing throughout the day, a dance stage for local dance groups to perform, and finally a busking stage under the ‘Birdcage’.

Technical Equipment

We supplied three van loads of equipment for all 5 stages, everything from power cables to speakers and lights.

All stages had a PA system, the ‘Carnival Ring’ had our outdoor Bose PA system as was exposed to the elements!

Take a look at our overview above for an insight in to the equipment we provided across the event!

Crew

We supplied enough crew and engineers to cover all 5 stages. The main stage had a dedicated lighting engineer, sound engineer, and stage crew for quick turnarounds between bands.

We provided a grand total of 500 hours between our team!

Site Lighting

We rigged up over 400m of festoon to light up the footpaths around the park.

This created a lovely atmosphere for visitors to walk around safely.
